Hollywood LED began when our president, Yuki Horibe, brought another company's LED system into her own salon. Her clients loved it, and both the salon's revenue and its rebooking rate rose sharply.
But the cost of getting started, and the cost of the glue and the other consumables, were so high that they ate into the profit — and she felt strongly that a technology this good would take far too long to reach the rest of the industry at that price.
So Hollywood Eyelash started its own research and development, tested and retested, and can now offer it at a price a salon can live with. Gel replaced nail polish across the nail industry. The same thing is beginning to happen in eyelash extensions.
